In-law Suite Cabinet Refinishing

This Haddon Township in-law suite transformation showcases the power of professional cabinet refinishing. The homeowner wanted to brighten up their builder-grade cabinets to give the entire room a fresh, modern feel without the expense of a full kitchen renovation. Our cabinet painting process began with thorough cleaning and deglossing to ensure proper paint adhesion. We then performed detailed sanding to create the ideal surface profile for primer bonding. For the cabinet doors, we removed them and transported them off-site to our spray booth, where we applied Benjamin Moore STIX primer—a premium bonding primer specifically formulated for challenging surfaces like previously finished cabinets. The doors were spray-painted on both sides with Benjamin Moore Scuff-X, a high-performance interior paint with exceptional durability and scuff resistance, great for high-traffic areas like kitchens. This off-site approach minimized disruption to the homeowner's daily routine. Meanwhile, the cabinet frames were carefully brushed and rolled on-site using the same premium products, maintaining a smooth finish with minimal texture. To complete the cohesive transformation, we also painted the walls and trim throughout the room, creating a unified, bright space that feels completely refreshed.
