About this project

This project was really cool for me because it was the first time I encountered Urbane Bronze from Sherwin-Williams.

This color was very interesting because it kept changing on me as the day went on. Depending on the angle, light level, and overall time of day, the color would shift—sometimes appearing like a glistening bronze and other times looking very neutral.

Multiple colors for the price of one!

But on a serious level, it was really cool to see and feel the room transform throughout the workday.

Besides the cool color, the room received the Happy Home Painter standard prep:

1. Carefully moving all of the furniture to the center of the room and protecting it with plastic for the duration of the project. 2. Protecting the floors with drop cloths to ensure they remained clean and paint-free. 3. Filling miscellaneous nail holes, dings, dents, and leftover holes from previous window hardware. 4. Cleaning the trim and caulking any gaps between the trim and walls for a clean, crisp finished look. 5. Spot-priming any areas that needed it.

Then, I applied two coats of excellent Sherwin-Williams paint to the ceilings, walls, and trim.

This was a one-day, standard Happy Home Painter occupied-home repaint.
